We are in search of a talented and enthusiastic Junior Design Manager / Engineer to join our growing team. This role provides an excellent opportunity for a passionate individual to kickstart their career in design and engineering. Reporting to the Head of Projects and Development, you will play a crucial role in supporting the design team, contributing fresh ideas, and gaining hands-on experience in various aspects of the design process.

 Responsibilities:

1. Project Support:

? Assist in the design and development of projects under the guidance of senior team members.

? Collaborate with the team to understand project requirements and contribute to creative design solutions.

2. Budget and Resource Management:

? Collaborate with the Head of Projects and Development to establish project budgets and resource requirements.

? Assist in the preparation of project programmes.

? Assist in managing project documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

? Support the team in maintaining organized project files.

? Interact with internal and external stakeholders to understand their needs and incorporate feedback into design revisions.

? Assist in the preparation and delivery of project updates

3. Technical Expertise:

? Assist in the production and review of relevant drawings and design information. 

? Gain exposure to industry-standard design and engineering systems and processes.

? Learn and apply relevant standards and regulations in the design process.

? Learn and stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in design and engineering.

? Provide technical guidance to the team, resolving complex design challenges and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.

4. Learning and Development:

? Work closely with experienced professionals to enhance your skills in design, engineering, and project management.

? Participate in design reviews, receiving constructive feedback to improve your work.

Skills:

? Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Architecture, or a related field.

? Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.

? Proficiency in Microsoft Project preferred but not essential. 

? Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. 

? Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

? Ability to actively participate in team discussions and articulate ideas and basic understanding of design and engineering concepts.

? Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

? Willingness to assist team members and take on diverse responsibilities.

? Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.

? Openness to receiving feedback and making improvements.

? Familiarity with design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).

Remuneration and Benefits:

. Up to £32K 

. 25 days holidays plus BH

. Hybrid job
