My client is a leading Technology recruitment agency in the heart of London, looking for intelligent and ambitious graduates to join their team in an exciting time of growth!

They specialise in Software Development, working with the top tech professionals globally. With offices across Europe and the US, they offer the opportunity to relocate in the future as you progress.

You will benefit from a structured 12-week training programme ran by the founder themselves, as well as the top performers in the business and external trainers. You will learn the recruitment basics, selling techniques and technical terms to become a specialist in your niche.

Progression is completely mapped out, from day 1 to director level, and there are some great case studies in the business to demonstrate this growth from grad to leader. You will have regular catch ups with your manager to ensure they can support you every step of the way.

What is the role of a Graduate Recruitment Consultant?

As a Graduate Recruitment Consultant, you are a salesperson, selling your services to both candidates and clients. Your candidates are your product, so you will also sell their profile to your clients.

The responsibilities include:

  • Developing strong relationships with candidates and clients. They need to be able to trust you as you support big decisions in their careers/ businesses.
  • Creating job adverts to attract suitable candidates.
  • Screening potential candidates who send their CV through.
  • Sourcing candidates through headhunting and networking. Not every candidate is going to be actively looking for a new role, so you need to persuade them to take the next step in their career.
  • Cold calling businesses to convince them to hire through you and your company.
  • Handling rejections from businesses and candidates.
  • Negotiating terms of business.
  • Taking detailed briefs from clients about their ideal candidate.
  • Aligning diaries between candidates and clients to arrange interviews.
  • Delivering positive and negative feedback to both parties.
  • Managing the process, including any pushbacks you may face.

Throughout the process, a lot can go wrong before it goes right. Resilience is the most important trait in a successful Graduate Recruitment Consultant. If you put in the hours and the work, and push towards the end goal (whatever that may be for you), then you will reap the rewards.

Our client appreciates the hard work their team puts in and will acknowledge this not only through a competitive commission structure, but some great incentives also! These include:

  • Gym memberships.
