Your new company Our client is a top 100 regional firm and a prominent provider of legal and claims solutions, serves insurers, businesses, and other stakeholders in the insurance sector. The firm’s expertise spans over 50 years, granting them an in-depth understanding of the insurance claims process. By collaborating with leading insurers, MGAs, brokers, corporates, and the public sector, they manage over £1 billion in insurer claims annually, resolving more than 100,000 claims. Our approach combines proven processes, technology, and cost-effective infrastructure with extensive legal and insurance market knowledge. This allows them to tailor individual solutions for our clients, meeting their quality, performance, and value-for-money requirements. Your new role The firm’s established Healthcare & Sports team is currently seeking a Junior Lawyer to join their growing department. This role presents an excellent opportunity to work within the team, focusing primarily on healthcare claims at a non-delegated hourly rate. While the main emphasis is on healthcare claims, there’s room for the right candidate to expand their responsibilities. The team exclusively serves private medical providers and their insurers, handling claims related to orthopaedics, plastics, dental, ophthalmic, and radiological cases.As part of this role, you’ll engage in various chargeable activities and some non-chargeable tasks to support the London Healthcare & Sports team. Flexible working arrangements are available for suitable candidates. Additionally, you may occasionally collaborate with client teams, so strong client relationship skills are essential. Some of the main duties are:

  • Reviewing files/caseloads.
  • Gathering research.
  • Draft court documents.
  • Review paper files.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • 2-4 years PQE.
  • England & Wales Qualified.
  • Experience in the litigation process.
  • Excellent interpersonal & client relationship skills.
  • Ability to handle and work under pressure.

Experience of handling clinical negligence (claimant & defendant).
