Salary Scale: £83 – £110 per day

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Graduate Teaching Assistant at a secondary school in North Shields, Tyne and Wear. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate looking to gain experience in a secondary school setting.

Job Summary:

Support secondary students in their academic and personal development.

Assist teachers in the delivery of lessons and classroom management.

Provide one-on-one and small group support to students as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Work closely with teachers to support the learning and development of students.

Use a range of strategies to engage students and encourage positive behaviour.

Monitor and record student progress, reporting any concerns to the relevant staff.

Participate in team meetings and contribute to the planning and review of student support plans.

The Successful Candidate Will:

Hold a relevant degree or be a recent graduate.

Have experience or a strong interest in working with secondary school students.

Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Be proactive, patient, and adaptable.

Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Have an enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
