Based in Exeter

Our client is a leading manufacturing business based in Exeter and due to ongoing growth of the business they a seeking a Graduate Engineer to support one of their business functions (Manufacturing Engineering). The ideal candidate will be someone who’s enthusiastic about learning new and technical manufacturing processes (which will include automated processes such as robotic cells & precision CNC machinery including waterjet and EDM and much more).

Ideal candidate background

Degree in either Automation, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering

Passionate to work within precision manufacturing

Keen to work with both traditional manufacturing processes but also learn and develop into automated manufacturing processes

Responsibilities and skills you will develop

Design and deliver tooling and fixtures for manufacturing processes.

Develop and implement new advanced manufacturing equipment and automation.

Reduce costs and improve current manufacturing techniques.

Providing support for manufacturing to improve existing processes.

Qualifying new products on existing manufacturing equipment

Creating supporting documentation for automated equipment (SOP and EMS)

Support the identification and implantation of new manufacturing technology.

Responsible for program storage, data back-ups and revision control for manufacturing equipment

Implement and support EH&S activities.
