Global E&C have a requirement for a

Trainee Close-Out Designer

to join the team on a

permanent

basis in

Aberdeen

.

Working as part of a project team, based in our client office, your duties will include:

The As-building of Safety critical documentation based on designs supplied by Designers/Engineers.

Learning to review workpacks to assess what is needed for technical closeout.

Maintaining discipline document filing (including electronic) & input to of design database(s) and trackers.

Developing awareness of regulatory/Global E&C HSE & quality requirements.

Developing awareness of applicable/up to date standards, regulations, codes and procedures.

Developing skills & awareness of Global E&C digital eco-system (Slingshot).

Learning & developing effective communication skills with project and discipline teams.

Learning self-check skills for assigned work output (including remote working, e-checking etc.).

Assisting and undertaking tasks on behalf of senior personnel as directed.

To be successful in this role, you should be able to demonstrate:

National Certificate (NC) or equivalent in appropriate Engineering subject (Not essential but would be preferred.)

A good understanding of different design software programs (AutoCAD / GTXRaster / Bluebeam etc.).

IT literacy and good experience of Microsoft software packages

Awareness of general design / draughting techniques.

Willingness to develop awareness in selection/use of, codes, practices, standards & statutory documentation.

Willingness to develop awareness in quality control/safety/environmental methods and engineering procedures for design.

Willingness to develop communication skills with the ability to liaise with client/projects/disciplines etc. as required.
