Business Administration Apprentice

As the Legal Administrator apprentice, you will play a key part in the administration activities throughout the business and play an integral part of the day-to-day administration. You will provide a high level of service to clients and will support others in the team to make sure we are all working efficiently, whilst being the first point of call for any incoming calls and deal with all routine office administration. You must be able to plan your day, have excellent time management skills and prepare to embrace our culture and relentless drive to provide the best customer service and recovery rates in the market.

Aside to this, you will play a leading support role in assisting a team of Solicitors and Litigation Executives in recovering debts and resolving disputes for clients by setting up new instructions, assisting with progressing claims, liaising with clients and working as part of a busy team whilst learning about all different types of commercial debt.

You will be required to complete a level 3 apprenticeship within 15 months of commencing your employment. This role is offered as a 15 month apprenticeship contract.

Your main duties will include:

Answer incoming calls and make outbound calls to both clients and debtors

Provide assistance for our file opening procedures, together with inputting the data on our case management system

Provide support to colleague in assisting client debts and taking the required steps in ensuring that payments are received

General administration tasks including, printing, copying, scanning etc

Co-ordinate all office processes and tasks required for the running of the day to day business

Reviewing and responding to emails, providing the required information, and monitoring the emails in various shared mailboxes and ensuring all tasks have been actioned

Production of spreadsheets to enter, edit and organise numerical and other data

Undertake legal research and prepare articles and blogs to be posted on the Goldsmith Bowers website and social media profiles

Assistance with the management of an online diary system and paper filing systems

Be able to competently use Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint software to format and present high-quality documents and presentations

Assist in litigious matters including tasks such as redaction, preparation of bundles and filing of documents

General office duties

Our team is built on experience from some of the UK’s biggest law firms. Our clients include household names through to growing SMEs and with over 200 new clients joining us in the past 2 years, we are going to need some really good people to come and join us.

While Goldsmith Bowers is investing heavily in process automation and IT, we exist to serve those clients who want a more human led approach. A named person that they can speak to, that their debtors can speak to, who understands their brand, their customers, and their approach. An “an extension of their team”, if you will.


Level 3 Business Administration Standard

Training by day release with Shipley College

The employer is looking to offer a permanent position upon successful completion of the Apprenticeship.
