Marketing Apprentice

GeoSmart are seeking a candidate with a keen interest in Marketing to support our expanding team.

Reporting to the Marketing Lead, you will assist with all marketing channels according to the marketing and communications plan and provide support where required.

  • Source prospecting lists for the Sales team.
  • Keep all marketing lists up to date with appropriate details and tags.
  • Check CRM records to ensure these are correct for any business sourced through digital marketing.
  • Create content for social media, email marketing, and the company website.
  • Monitor Google and Microsoft Ads performance and alert to any extreme changes in performance.
  • Download reports on marketing campaigns across paid ads, social media, email marketing, and website traffic, reporting on details of opens, clicks etc.
  • Run monthly reports on organic traffic to the website by page and confirm any conversions/business.
  • Research and book relevant events and networking opportunities. Manage events calendar.
  • Perform keyword research for business on any new products and services contributing towards SEO and PPC projects.
  • Collaborate with Marketing lead on marketing collateral required for business.
  • Monitor new enquiries from digital marketing sources and alert the sales team to any prospective organisations that could provide repeat business.
  • Keep marketing folders up to date and well organised.
  • Communicate with external suppliers for campaign deliverables.
  • Organise tasks for the relevant person(s) in the business to follow up on various marketing activities.
  • Manage and arrange training for external parties, both in-person and online webinars.
  • Send training outputs to the accreditor for approval and make amendments as requested.

Role competencies and experience:

  • GCSEs in English and maths at C/4 and above.
  • A-levels in complimentary subjects such as English, Business, Graphic Design, Psychology, etc.
  • Strong IT and communication skills.
  • Enthusiastic and willing, with a strong team player attitude.
  • Strong administration and organisation skills to coordinate own time.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • You will not need experience in the industry, though this would be advantageous.
  • Experience in Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, CRM systems, email automation and social media would be advantageous but not required.

The Apprenticeship

This role will be part of a level three Multi-Channel Marketer apprenticeship provided by The Marketing Trainer. The apprenticeship covers a wide range of topics over its 15-month duration, including:

  • Campaign management;
  • Content creation;
  • Social Media marketing;
  • Digital and traditional communications;
  • Brand management;
  • Project Management;
  • And much, much more.

All training and support will be conducted remotely via small group training cohorts and one-to-one coaching sessions that ensure you receive individualised support along the entirety of the apprenticeship.

In addition to this, the successful candidate will be enrolled on a full CIM Foundation Certificate at no extra cost. This means that once you’re finished on the apprenticeship you’ll be awarded two distinct qualifications as opposed to one.

Salary: From £16,000

Working hours: 9 – 5:30 (40 hours per week) – some flexibility once probation has been passed

Work type : Initially in-office then 1 day remote once probation is passed
