Gemporia began in 2004 and we are a British live television and online jewellery retailer sourcing gemstones across the globe. Since the end of 2017, we are now very proud to be an employee-owned company and we are constantly seeking to grow our successful team.

We are looking for a passionate Graphic Designer to join our talented team of Creatives. Our new Junior Graphic Designer will be responsible for creating visually stunning designs for Gemporias print, social and digital. The successful candidate will be able to deliver high-quality designs that align with the brand’s aesthetic and have a genuine passion for gemstones and Gemporias brand values.

You will be responsible for transforming initial concepts and briefs into outstanding pieces of creative for all channels for both internal and external use. Working closely with our in-house Studio and Photography team, you will transform briefs from Marketing, Digital, TV, Social and PR into engaging, branded creative.

Principal job accountabilities:

Designing and creating visual content for all touchpoints for Gemporia, including TV, Digital, Social and print.

Collaborating with the Digital Marketing and Creative Teams to develop creative concepts that align with the brand’s values and visual identity.

Contributing to the development and maintenance of the brand guidelines.

Ensuring that all designs are optimised for both print and digital media.

Keeping up-to-date with the latest design trends, technologies and techniques.

Managing multiple projects and delivering designs on time, working to tight deadlines.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or a related experience

A strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional design skills and a deep understanding of typography, layout and colour theory

Excellent proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign

UX/UI knowledge is a bonus but not essential

After Effects and Premier Pro is a bonus but not essential

Experience creating designs for print and digital media

A solid understanding of marketing principles and how they relate to design

Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines

Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members

Working Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week with flexibility at busy times

Hybrid working 2/3 days per week
