This AAT Level 3 Apprenticeship could be the first step to a successful accounting career!

Must have grade 5/6 or B in GCSE Maths and a strong interest in accounting and numeracy.

You must be able to commute easily to the workplace in Leicester L3.

Brief overview of the role

An exciting role in a Payroll and Accountancy business which plans to grow its client base significantly over the next 12 months. The individual will have a varied role in the business, which will be demanding and will suit a confident, ambitious and determined individual.

Apprenticeship summary

Working week

Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm

Total hours per week: 35.00

Annual wage

£7 – £8 per hour

Daily Duties

Assisting in the processing of client’s financial records for tax purposes.

The role will include:

VAT return preparation

Bookkeeping

Preparation of small business accounts

Assisting in the preparation of larger business accounts

Personal Qualities

A good team player

Self-motivated self -starter, able to work independently and to manage own workload and meet deadlines as required.

Diligent, a desire to be accurate, numerate and able to work to deadlines and under pressure.

Desired Skills

Familiar and confident in the use of Excel and Word.

Generally good IT and keyboard skills

Good communication skills, proactive and prepared to make extra effort when needed

Required Qualifications:

Good standard of general education

GCSE’s or equivalent A – C

Must have at least grade “B” Maths GCSE or equivalent

Future prospects

There is the opportunity for progression for the right candidate.
