Job Summary:

Be the single point of contact and main liaison between employers, apprentices, and the educational institution. This role involves supporting, mentoring, and guiding apprentices throughout their Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship journey, ensuring they collect the necessary evidence for their qualifications and meet the standards of their Apprenticeship Programmes.

What you’ll be doing:

Apprentice Support:

Mentor and guide apprentices to collate evidence for qualifications.

Support apprentices through the End Point Assessment (EPA) process.

Conduct timely reviews and communicate feedback/actions to all relevant parties.

Employer Engagement:

Conduct compliance visits to employer premises and ensure health and safety, as well as insurance requirements, are met.

Provide information, guidance, and updates to employers about the curriculum and apprenticeship services.

Curriculum and Assessment:

Collaborate with curriculum teams to monitor apprentice progress.

Carry out assessments to national, college, and awarding body standards.

Support vocational areas by setting up and promoting bespoke training to meet industry needs.

Quality Improvement:

Support the Head of Work Based Learning in continual quality improvement.

Participate in internal and external verification procedures and quality improvement plans.

What you need:

Essential:

Experience in mentoring or coaching.

Evidence of formal structured training, such as an apprenticeship.

A Level 3 qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.

Assessor award A1 or equivalent.

Current experience in Engineering Maintenance, Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering, Technical Support, or related fields.

Vocational experience in industry and customer interaction.

Proficiency in IT skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).

A valid driving license free of major endorsements and/or the ability to travel within the recruitment area.

Desirable:

Experience working with Awarding Bodies and familiarity with their systems and paperwork.

Experience in reviewing and assessing learners within companies.

Experience collaborating with external agencies and organizations.
