Junior Quality Engineer

We are seeking a Junior Quality Engineer to join an established business based in the Milton Keynes area. The Junior Quality Engineer will report a Quality Engineer and will be responsible for managing the Quality Management system and carrying out internal and external audits. This will be a varied role working and liaising with the team on any projects.

As the Junior Quality Engineer you will be responsible for :

Maintaining the QMS

Conducting internal/external/product and process audits

Liaising with customers regarding any issues

Working on quality improvement projects

Raising and processing CARs through to completion

Putting together First article inspection reports (FAIRS)

Liaising with vendors regarding performance and issues

Problem solving (5 whys, 8Ds etc)

Requirements:

Experience within a quality department

Experience with a QMS system

Experience of auditing

Mechanical drawing knowledge and GD & T

An understanding of AS9100/AS9120 would be an advantage

An understanding of APQP,PPAP would be an advantage

An understanding of AS9100/AS9120 is preferred although not essential

Analytical and problem solving abilities

Excellent communication and presentation skills
