We are currently recruiting for an HR Graduate to join the team in Dyce, Aberdeen. As HR Graduate you will be responsible for administration of the full employee lifecycle within the UK business.

The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The HR Graduate maintains an adequate level of business literacy about the business unit’s financial position, its midrange plans, its culture, and its competition.

HR Graduate position will be developed and mentored through the employee lifecycle within the UK business by the Senior HR Manager in line with the companies Succession Planning process.

Job responsibilities

  • Serve as an HR Partner to the operation, facility, or a function’s leadership team. Develops strong working relationships with HR teammates and line managers within the relevant business units, providing HR guidance where appropriate.
  • Maintains a good knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development)
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation. Updates policies and processes as and when required.
  • Provide line management with recruitment support, screening candidates and participation in interviews
  • Develops contract terms for new hires, promotions and transfers, ensuring all paperwork is developed and issued in a timely manner.
  • Identifies training needs for business units and supports line management with booking requests
  • Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
  • Manages employee sickness absence process, ensuring support is given to employees and line managers
  • Monthly collation and input of payroll information
  • Support the wider HR team with annual initiatives including performance management reviews and business ethics campaigns.
  • Proactively supports the business by managing day to day employee and line management queries through the centralized UK mailbox in an efficient manner
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Ability to acquire a good understanding of the organization’s hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, and the administrative practices related to those factors.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Experience

  • Experience working in an HR or admin related role in a service organisation desirable
  • Experience working in a decentralized, matrix environment with limited resources preferable

Education requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or Business Administration or similar qualification
