Programme summary

The Seren Future Graduates programme is an 8-week academic programme held in the summer of 2024, between July-August, open to all year 12 and 13 Seren learners. It will be held online, generally in the mornings, on weekdays between July-August 2024.

The aim of the programme is to encourage learners’ intellectual curiosity by experiencing university-style teaching, connecting with students from leading universities to hear about their experiences and providing them with an opportunity to research and produce a piece of academic work to support their super-curricular endeavours.

The programme will culminate with the submission of a capstone project or academic poster, which will form the basis of learners’ discussions in a small-group tutorial with the instructors.

Learners will choose to participate in at least one of the following subject streams:

• Humanities
• Maths, Physics and Life Sciences
• Medicine and Biomedical Sciences
• Social Sciences and Law
