More about your role  

 

We are excited to recruit a Graduate Service Charge Analyst to our  Service Charge Team as part of our 2024 Graduate Programme, internally known as our Emerging Talent programme.

As our Graduate Service Charge Analyst will support you to develop the core skills, behaviours and technical ability to develop into a range of careers including  finance, data analysis and housing. Our Service Charge team sits within our Finance department and has a People First approach as well as a  track record of developing graduates.

Your role will see you administering finance and administration processes including preparing journals for accruals and prepayments, provisions, reconciliations, correcting errors, allocating indirect costs, clearing suspense accounts, budgets, and forecasts. 

As you grow in confidence you’ll get involved in the production of the annual setting of service charge budgets including postings to the Housing management, Service Charge and Finance systems t ensuring costs are fully recovered within given timescales. 

This role will see you working to regulatory, contractual, and legal requirements, with the opportunity to complete complex high quality work within a supportive and nurturing environment.

This role is a Hybrid role with opportunities to work from home but also benefit from learning from the technical expertise around you both within your business area and the surrounding business. The successful candidate will be at our Preston office two days a week.

The start date for this role is September 2024 which will include a week long induction from our Leeds Office which will include introductions to the Executive Team, a tour of Places for People housing stock & social opportunities for you to meet the rest of the 2024 Emerging Talent cohort.

More about you  

 

You’ll be a recent graduate with a degree and an interest in starting a career in finance or analysis. A finance background isn’t essential as these skills and technical behaviours will be taught. You’ll also be supported to reach qualified status through the finance route of your choice.

It’s essential you have an analytical and curious mind with a solution focused outlook.
