Junior IT Support Analyst

Responsibilities

  • ?To provide an effective, high quality IT support service to all CG employees in Europe.
  • To work closely with the support and infrastructure teams globally at the direction of the line manager.
  • To have good attention to details to ensure a first-time fix is provided. To expand relevant IT skills base and be capable in supporting all hardware and software.
  • To consider, and where applicable, suggest potential improvements to systems.
  • Provide basic training for new users on existing application where appropriate and identify areas that require further training.
  • Record and respond to support tickets with SLA.
  • Good knowledge to provide support on Active Directory (Azure/On-Prem), Microsoft Exchange (Online/On-Prem), SCCM, Intune, McAfee, Microsoft Office 365, Windows, IOS and Android devices.
  • Provide hardware support for desktops, printers and peripherals, including diagnosis and, where appropriate resolution before outsourcing to third parties.
  • Experience using Group Policy and PowerShell scripting to be able to provide support.
  • Providing support for Cisco VOIP, including CUCM administration. Knowledge and understanding to provide support on voice recording systems.
  • Act as a first port of call for all users for software in a standard build and bespoke / specialised software
  • Develop skills to support different market data products and custom in house or third-party applications
  • Ad hoc tasks as required

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

  • Educated to A Level or equivalent (or suitable professional qualifications).
  • 2 years relevant experience in providing deskside support (ideally in Financial Services)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills complemented by exceptional interpersonal skills;
  • Knowledge of core applications to be able to provide 2nd/ 3rd line support levels in all business areas;
  • In depth knowledge of Microsoft stack of OS and applications;
  • Knowledge of UC platforms and interoperability;
  • Ability to demonstrate a high level of discretion and confidentiality;
  • Highly organised and reliable, self-starter, motivated and ambitious;
  • ?Detail oriented with strong organizational skills;
  • Excellent prioritization skills with the ability to excel under pressure;
  • Excellent teamwork skills complemented by the ability to work well independently;
