Junior IT Consultant – within Tech Tax

Have you worked in a Tech role or graduated University with knowledge of Software/Information Technology?

A leading accounting firm specializing in Research & Development tax claims for innovative businesses is seeking an IT-savvy professional to join their dynamic team.

The Firm: A respected firm with a diverse client base, ranging from high-tech startups to large multinationals. The R&D team specializes in preparing claims for SME fintech and financial services businesses.

Please not, Tax experience is NOT Required

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide subject matter knowledge for Technology for the wider team.
• Prepare R&D tax claims for tech and IT sector clients
• Ensure claims meet quality standards and HMRC requirements
• Engage in ongoing training and stay updated with HMRC positions on IT claims
• Apply technical knowledge of IT/software development to claim content
• Contribute ideas for process improvements

Requirements:

• Degree in software or information science technology (MSc or PhD preferred)
• Strong analytical and writing skills
• Excellent communication abilities
• Adaptability and willingness to learn
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite
• Problem-solving and multitasking capabilities

PERM ROLE

LONDON OFFICE BASED – 5 days a week (initally)

Salary: £32k – £38k
