Are you looking to start a new career in childcare? Edyta’s Little Explorers are looking for an apprentice to join their team at their excellent setting based in Middlesbrough. As an apprentice you will support the other team members with the day to day running of the nursery.

Edyta’s Little Explorers are looking for a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner to join their team!

This role includes:

  • Deliver high quality provision within the setting
  • Provide a safe, welcoming, purposeful, stimulating and encouraging environment where children feel confident and secure and can develop and learn
  • Monitor and evaluate children’s learning through a range of assessment and monitoring strategies.
  • Promote positive behaviour, self-control, and independence through implementing our behaviour policy
  • Actively support the development of childrens language and communication skills
  • Provide safe, appropriate, child-led, and adult initiated experiences, activities and play opportunities in indoor, outdoor and in out-of-setting contexts, which enable children to develop and learn
  • Provide a safe, secure, and caring environment for the children in your charge promoting a confident, friendly, and caring attitude.
  • To keep records of your key childrens development and learning journeys and share this with parents, carers, and other key adults in the childs life.
  • Engage in good team working.
  • To respect the confidentiality of all information received
  • To make sure all toys and equipment are kept safe and clean
  • To maintain records as directed by the employer and in line with the employers policies, including contributing to 2-year-old progress checks
  • To offer support and guidance to new colleagues, volunteers or students on work placements as directed by the employer
  • To ensure that all childrens needs are being met regardless of special needs or disabilities
  • To share any safeguarding concerns immediately with the settings Designated Safeguarding Officer
  • To keep up to date with current good practice and to attend any training events as identified by the employer
  • To perform any other duties deemed necessary by the employer
