Eden Scott is delighted to be supporting our high profile client to recruit for a Corporate Benefits Adviser or Trainee Corporate Benefits Adviser to join their team based in the west end of Aberdeen. This role would suit candidates at a Senior Corporate Benefits Admin/IFA Admin level looking for progression with full training offered or candidates currently in a Financial Services Advisory role. Full training, exam support will be provided.

Position Type – Full Time / Permanent

You will be joining their busy Corporate Benefits department and the successful candidate will help deliver a customer focused employee benefit service to SME clients. This will include dealing with Group Pension Arrangements, Group Life Cover, Income Protection and Private Medical Insurance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide first-class service to create and maintain long-standing relationships with corporate clients. Act as the main point of contact for all inquiries from corporate clients and their employees, ensuring service levels are met
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to new prospective corporate clients regarding services, including the implementation of new schemes and ongoing servicing
  • Implement new Employee Benefits Schemes and conduct presentations and individual meetings with employees of new corporate clients, covering topics such as existing pension arrangements, investment risk attitudes, pension contributions, and potentially details on Death In Service, Private Medical Insurance, Group Income Protection, and Critical Illness schemes
  • Arrange and conduct annual reviews with all members of existing schemes, including updates on fund value, performance, contributions, and any recommended changes to their investment holdings
  • Assist the Corporate benefits director in providing advice on Employee Benefit Schemes during presentations and meetings with new and existing clients
  • Follow through with corporate clients, their employees, and providers to ensure timely completion of business, resolve issues, and support the business in handling complaints
  • Keep corporate clients and their employees informed of progress and support lead generation activities as required

QUALIFICATIONS

Desirable

  • CII Diploma or equivalent, or significant progress towards this qualification

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Essential

  • At least 2 years of experience in the Financial Services industry
  • Effective verbal and written communicator
  • Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Office)

Desirable

  • Experience as an Independent financial or Corporate benefits Adviser
  • Experience of Corporate benefits delivery specifically with employee benefit schemes
  • Good knowledge of group pensions

KNOWLEDGE

  • Working knowledge of Group Pensions and Risk Products
  • The requisite technical knowledge and qualification (e.g. QCA Level 4 exams)
  • Broad knowledge of financial products and processes

Desirable

  • Working knowledge of Intelligent Office system
  • Previous experience using leading providers’ online pension systems
