We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Manufacturing Engineer to join our local Engineering team based in Hull where we have produced air filters for over 35 years. This role gives the successful candidate an amazing opportunity to work, learn and develop in an up and coming area and future focus of our business that involves advanced filtration. Opportunities are available for the successful candidate to develop and grow in this role and also further beyond to opportunities around the world.

The successful candidate will work closely with and be mentored by our current Engineering team and will support in the development of and improve key manufacturing processes and drive the implementation of related product groups.

Key Responsibilities;

  • Evaluate and initiate product and process development to increase output, assure quality and reduce cost, ensuring all work carried out is in line with all company, legal and HSE regulations
  • Explore new ideas and technology to evaluate the potential to improve products and processes, assure quality and reduce cost.
  • Keeping equipment operational by coordinating with the maintenance team in effective maintenance programs along with Autonomous Maintenance.
  • Participate in and lead team activities in order to capture skills and ideas from across the business in order to drive good ideas and initiatives to a positive conclusion.
  • Interface with equipment vendors and contractors.
  • Understand process control issues and develop control solutions to enhance process.
  • Effective management of capital and process development projects ensuring that they meet both business and technical objectives.

Qualifications

  • Qualified to degree level in an engineering discipline is required (including a placement year would be desirable however this is not essential)
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations and practices.
  • Electrical/Controls bias/interest would be an advantage.
