WHAT are the HOURS? Monday to Friday shifts between 7.30am and 6pm.

WHAT Qualification will I GAIN? Early Years Practitioner Level 2

How LONG will it TAKE me? 16 months

HOW does the Apprenticeship work?

  • WORK Full Time, PAID Full Time
  • 1-2-1 Monthly Sessions (via Teams) with your dedicated Tutor – NO college!
  • 6 hours a week Apprenticeship Study Time, to focus on:
  • Regular PROGRESS Reviews with your Tutor & Manager you will ALWAYS know how you are doing
  • Final Assessment(s) inc. multiple choice tests, projects & presentations with full support from CT Skills!

We started Hollies 30 years ago with the opening of our first nursery in Sherwood and are proud that 3 generations of our family have been able to share the important early developmental stages of thousands of children We now have a chain of 5 nurseries all based across Nottingham.

WHATS in it for ME?

You will be helping to build and encourage the children’s confidence through meaningful activities, interactions, and planning activities to suit each individual child. This position will allow you to be a role model to young people and kick start your career in childcare!

DAY to DAY, you will.

  • To support with the day to day running of the nursery.
  • Keeping children safe in the nursery environment.
  • Following all policies and procedures.
  • Preparing snacks.
  • Assisting other staff and working as part of a team.
  • Carrying out 1 to 1 and small group activities as asked by qualified staff.
  • Meeting parents.
  • Carrying out personal care routines.
  • Promoting positive behaviour through your own positive role modelling actions and by following the behaviour policy.
  • Attending staff meetings.
  • Completing training as set by the management team.

WHAT Skills do I NEED?

Apprenticeships are very demanding; youre working towards a qualification whilst working full time! Youll need to be committed and motivated as there is lots of self-guided work involved. PLUS, you need GOOD ..

  • GCSE or equivalent English and Maths grade 4/C or above
  • UK Residency (MUST have lived in the UK for 3 years+)

What AFTER the Apprenticeship?

As with any apprenticeship opportunity if you prove yourself to be a valuable member of the team there is a strong chance of a permanent post within the business.
