It’s a fantastic time to be joining the HR & OD Team at Brent Council as Apprenticeship & Future Talent Advisor. As a result of our ambitious new transformation programme and significant investment in our HR and OD services, we have created several exciting new roles in the team.

You will play a key role in supporting our managers and delivering a culture change programme. Therefore, we’re looking for change makers, visionaries, and inspiring people who share our aspiration to deliver a first-class HR & OD service.

About the role

As Apprenticeship & Future Talent Advisor at Brent you will support on the management and delivery of effective Career Development programmes at the Council, including our growing apprenticeship programme.

You’ll lead on design of apprenticeship and early careers programmes, ensuring they effectively support the Council’s goal of developing a highly skilled and resilient workforce.

You’ll also work collaboratively with HR colleagues to promote our employer brand, as well as identify and select appropriate training providers to deliver on our career’s programmes.

We encourage flexible working, meaning you will have the option to work two days a week from home.

About you

You will be a HR professional who is CIPD qualified to Level 5 or working towards completion. You’ll also possess significant experience working within HR, organisational development, apprenticeships, or education.

It is essential for success in this role that you have an in-depth knowledge of apprenticeships and careers programmes, with experience of providing individuals with pastoral, learning, or peer-to-peer support.

You’ll be an excellent communicator and demonstrate commitment to Brent’s values and our ambition to become an ever more inclusive organisation.
