We have a fantastic opportunity to appoint a committed and enthusiastic graduate to join our Inclusion team. This is an ideal role for a graduate that has a passion for working with young people and may be considering a career in the teaching profession as this role will provide a wealth of experience, training and support.

We are a diverse, vibrant Secondary academy for girls and boys aged 11 to 16, where there are high expectations for everyone in our community.We promote and celebrate success with all of our pupils in everything that they do. Our academy is situated in Lewisham in South East London, benefiting from excellent public transport and road links to all parts of London and Kent. Our Secondary situated on one site allowing a truly unique all through setting with opportunities for transition, collegiate working and subject development.We are at an exciting time on our journey to becoming a great school. The recent Ofsted inspection (Autumn 2019) judged the Academy to be Good across all areas and recognised the improvements made in all aspects.

What does the role involve? The main aim is to support our teachers to deliver high quality learning experiences for all of our pupils and enabling their Light to Shine. This role will be working in our Secondary School within the classroom supporting our students in their learning.

Daily tasks will include:

Assisting pupils with their educational and social development on an individual and group basis

Liaising with the class teacher and SENDCo and contributing to individual plans for pupils

Carrying out group and individual interventions

Liaising with support agencies
