Graduate DFT Engineer

As a Design For Test (DFT) engineer, you will be working on industry-leading mixed-signal SoC’s, supporting several growing product lines in the audio, automotive and emerging business areas.

You will be specifying and adding test structures to our designs to ensure excellent test coverage and optimal test times. You will interface with numerous other disciplines including Design, Verification, Test Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Failure Analysis and Product Engineering to ensure smooth production ramps and stable yields.

Responsibilities:

  • Work within a collaborative team environment to define, implement, and review DFT features
  • You will generate, insert, and verify Memory BIST and other test logic
  • Perform scan insertion and ATPG pattern generation
  • Develop and verify DFT timing and equivalence checking constraints
  • Perform MBIST and ATPG pattern verification with gate-level simulations
  • Identify and improve any test coverage gaps
  • Create test patterns for production ATE and assist bring-up

    Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or relevant STEM subject

  • Experience of digital RTL design coding and verification
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience with Verilog, System Verilog, or VHDL
  • Understanding of DFT (scan test, memory test etc)
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as TCL, Perl or Python
  • Have a curious and inquiring mind with the dedication to follow through on getting answers
  • Experience with debugging and root causing problems
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a collaborative development team
  • This role is based in our Edinburgh office.

    This is a hybrid position and will follow a 2+ day in-office work schedule, with in-office days based on business needs and team preference. You must be based within commutable distance of the work location listed on the job posting, or willing to relocate prior to beginning employment with Cirrus Logic
