Job description

A new role has been created with this leading signage company who specialise in delivering high-quality commercial projects. Their commitment to excellence and innovation has positioned them as a trusted partner for a wide range of clients. They are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sales Estimator to join their dynamic team, reporting directly to the Estimating Manager.This role would suit a graduate with a few years’ experience in construction/manufacturing or fit out or someone who has worked in accounting /finance..

• Manage the enquiries in Smartsheet ,ensure all new enquires are entered with estimated values (based on Pipedrive opportunity value).
• Oversee a new enquiries email address that will be set up for all team members involved with estimating, so new enquiries are visible to all members and assigned for action.
• Set up quotations for small projects (£250 to £10k) and extras to past completed projects. (approx. 3-5nr each day).
• Training on use of quotation templates to be provided, and rates to be input by estimating manager.
• Assist with setup of quotations for North of England enquiries.
• Assist sales region managers and estimating manager with quantity take-off as required use of AI software and excel/pdf techniques etc training provided by Estimating Manager.
• Assist sales team members with locating latest drawings and most recent quote revisions as required.
• Monitor info@ email address and forward relevant correspondence to accounts team (remittances etc).
• Submit report daily with total value of live quotations on the Pipedrive CRM funnels, so figures can be tracked across each year.
• Assist Accounts team with converting quotations to correct format for inputting to Sage200 if required.

Essential Skills

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 3 years plus experience in a commercial setting, preferably within the construction or fit-out or manufacturing industry.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Desirable Skills

• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications advantageous.
• Will look at a graduate with a few years experience who had relevant experience and adaptable skills in estimating or sales quotations.
