The role

Our Technology Data Services team are looking to welcome a Junior Developer to the team, this fantastic opportunity is perfect for those with a strong passion and desire to break into a technology role and learn to develop, test and support data and automation solutions.

Combining on the job learning with more formalised training structures which leads to industry certification, this role suits someone who can couple their growth mindset and hunger to learn, with their ambition to start a career pathway within technology.

What the Junior Developer will learn to do

  • Work on strategic and innovative data and process automation products, within a multi-disciplinary team, delivering critical business outcomes including driving revenue growth and/or ensuring cost efficiencies whilst providing valuable insights to the business and to our customers
  • Develop subject matter expertise in data processing tools and techniques and will acquire specialist knowledge of the organisation’s data assets and the context in how they are used
  • Apply data engineering standards and tools to support the creation and delivery of modern, efficient and robust data pipelines and data products
  • Design, write and iterate code from prototype to production ready. Understand security, accessibility and version control
  • Design and build technical solutions for allocated project work, developing reusable components, scripts and frameworks for efficiency

Our role categories range from CUK15 (entry level) to CUK1 (Brand President) so you can clearly see internal development opportunities. This role is a CUK10 and is offered on a full time, permanent basis, with hybrid working in our Southampton office, including up to two days from home.

  • Can demonstrate a passion for building a career within technology or data services, this may have been through hobbies and interests, education or self-study, personal development or projects
