Taylor Woodrow are recruiting for an Graduate FinanceAssistant to join the joint venture responsible for the construction anddelivery of HS2s Old Oak Common station in North West London. The circa 1bn project will include thedelivery of six underground platforms as well as up to eight platforms on theadjacent Great Western Main Line.

Reporting tothe Project Accountant, the Graduate Finance Assistant will be responsible for controllingall the transactional processes of the Finance Department, ensuring all costsare correct and applied to the correct period whilst maintaining adherence tothe internal governance on the project

Duties:

Work with the widerFinance team to ensure that effective and efficient control mechanisms arealways maintained in the ledgers and ensure that work-flow standards in allareas are maintained

Review TimesheetPortal entries when required to verify time spent on the project.

Prepare & ReviewBalance Sheet Reconciliations (monthly; including all Payroll & staffcosting accounts) ensuring they are accurate and timely. Make necessaryadjustments where required.

Liaise with all ParentCompany Finance contacts to ensure all assets/liabilities are aligned. Providepayroll/absence data to all Parent companies as required.

Support on allexternal & internal audits including client/supply chain cost verificationas required.

Update and reviewstaff rates every month ensuring rate build-up is in line with JV expectations.

Review accountstransactions including plant returns, material receipts, GRNs etc to ensureaccuracy and efficiency. Full understanding of the P2P process.

Generating paymentruns to ensure all payments made within in 26 days of being due, understandingour commitment to the Prompt Payment Code

Working with thecommercial team to ensure all subcontract payments are on R12 in a timelyfashion. Liaising with the Subcontract Team in Newcastle to resolve anyqueries.

Demonstrate anunderstanding of Domestic Reverse Charge ensuring invoices are HMRC compliant.

Update BankReconciliation File on an ongoing basis. Ensuring information is current andaccurate.

Prepare the 13-weekcashflow forecast, providing updated variance analysis for any materialanomalies or variances.

Person Specification:

Degreeor equivalent in a finance or accounting related subject

Previousexperience in a cost control environment is desirable

Previousexperience within a construction environment is advantageous but not essential
