Life on the team

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate role working within our Group Partner Management and Purchasing Business Support team, part of Group Technology Sourcing (GTS) department. This team is responsible for supporting complex in-life customer contracts and inventory management.

The Associate (trainee) Commercial Manager plays an important role in post sales, working alongside their immediate team and the wider business, providing accurate analysis and recommendations to maintain and grow contribution for specific Customers. These opportunities can range from small opportunities to complex customer solutions. It is a busy, fast paced working environment in a very supportive, collaborative and experienced team.

What youll do

Working proactively with the Partner Management and Purchasing Team

Absorbing knowledge and becoming an expert in our complex vendors processes & products

Communicating clear explanations to support commercial decisions in GTS solutions

Working with vendors to ensure that all quotations are competitive & maximise margin potential on product transitions in customer agreements.

Establishing strong relationships across Technology Sourcing Sales in the CU

Working closely with Customer Management to provide an excellent customer experience

Mitigate commercial risks during product transitions in line with Customer and supplier commitments.

What youll need

Strong mathematical / analytical skills / Excel skills

A willingness to learn and become an expert Technology Sourcing pricing and processes

Ability to work with accuracy when under pressure

Ability to work within a team and to self-motivate

A pro-active communicator with a positive approach

A focus on self-development

Any analytical skills in a product and commercial environment would be a huge plus (but not essential)
