Help strengthen our Team as our Junior Project Manager for a 6 month Fixed term contract. Hybrid role with Belfast office and working from home. Flexible how often a week in the office.

A great opportunity to join our team as our Junior IT Project Manager to support our Project Managers in the day-to-day management of our infrastructure project and in the reporting and governance required for the project.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting the Project Manager in the preparation of the following baseline management products: project brief, benefits management approach, PID, stage/exception plans and work packages.
  • Producing accurate and timely reports and recording that are required for the project according to the reporting drum beat
  • Tracking progress of the key products and milestones for the project including the resource forecast
  • Supporting and managing the project controls, monitoring and reporting including advising the project manager of any deviations from the plan and complying with the change control approach
  • Supporting and maintaining the project procedures such as risk management, issue management, change control and communication
  • Work with the project team to deliver the project to time, quality and cost.

What we’re looking for

  • Broadly skilled in information technology including application and infrastructure environments.
  • Effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to command respect and to create a sense of community amongst the members of the project teams
  • Knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling programmes
  • Understanding of the procurement process including negotiation with third parties
  • Knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures
  • Sufficient seniority and credibility to advise project teams on their projects in relation to the programme
  • Ability to find ways of solving or pre-empting problems
  • Knowledge of programme and project management methods including MSP, PRINCE2 and Agile
  • ITIL Service Management qualification is desirable
  • Ideally have exposure to cloud technologies such as AWS and/or Azure
  • Self-motivated individual with flexible approach to working.
  • Eligibility for Security Clearance
