An established manufacturer based in Essex that supply made to measure staircases to an established trade customer base are seeking a Surveyor to join their busy team. The job entails visiting residential refurbishment sites throughout North London and Essex, taking detailed measurements and designing staircases to suit a customer’s requirements on site. Typically you will visit 4-5 sites a day with 30 minute allocated slots. Working days are Monday to Friday, hours flexible. Salary is from £30,000 for a trainee/graduate through to £50,000 for someone with specific staircase measuring experience. 22 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays. A company vehicle is provided for the role along with the relevant measuring kit needed. There will be a period of training at the start until you are ready to measure autonomously. During quiter times you will be asked to assist in the office. As mentioned, we are open to candidates of all levels, but the successful applicant will come from one of the below backgrounds: A staircase surveyor A background in joinery A background working on loft extensions A graduate with good mathematics skills, possibly a degree in engineering or similar A background on site measuring a similar or relatable product Before you apply please make sure you come from one of the above! You will also live within a reasonable commute of the company’s office, either in Essex or North London, and hold a UK driving licence and have assess to your own car initally whilst a company vehicle is ordered.
