Independent Water Networks, who are part of BUUK are looking for a

Graduate Wastewater Engineer

who would like to help us reach our mission

to earn customer loyalty and drive business growth by providing consistently excellent service.

As the Graduate Wastewater Engineer Your key responsibilities are

Coordinate with water companies to ensure that points of connection and discharge are coordinated with designers, developers, and incumbents, designs and connections are to specification and appropriate, and delivered within agreed timescales.

Ensure that water, surface water, and wastewater assets are designed, installed, and maintained to industry lead standards.

To undertake technical assessments of wastewater infrastructure designs, support in suitable on-site supervision and assist with the adoption of the networks.

Support the Network Adoption Manager and work closely with internal teams, ensuring a smooth transition from construction to successful adoption of assets.

Support in delivering cost effective measures to benefit the management and operation of water and wastewater assets enabling IWNL to:

Mitigate the risk of financial penalties being imposed by OFWAT.

Demonstrate compliance with best practice and regulatory requirements.

Ensure compliance with current Water Industry Regulations, group policies, British and International standards, industry codes of practice and safety procedures.

About you

Hold a suitable recognised engineering or scientific qualification.

Project management skills associated with project delivery (at university or in employment)

Excellent communication skills

Attention to detail with good problem solving ability
