Junior Data Engineer – Azure

£30,000 – £40,000 (DOE)

Manchester city centre location – flexible hybrid working options

We are currently partnered with a highly successful Manchester based SaaS business who have recently received over £4 million in funding to help them continue their upward trajectory. They are looking for a Junior Data Engineer who will get the chance to work on brand new projects using Version 3 of Microsoft Fabric.

As a Junior Data Engineer, you will work closely with a Senior Data Engineer, the development team, legacy data administrator and the support engineers to help the business get the most out of their data.

? What they are looking for…

You have at least 1 years experience working within Azure Data Stack

Experience or exposure with some of the following – Python / Spark / Data Lakes / SQL

Desire to learn and develop within the newest tech stack

Outstanding communication skills

Tech stack : Azure, Databricks, Python, Spark, SQL, Microsoft Fabric

What you’ll be doing…

Developing high quality code for the core data stack including the data integration hub, data warehouse and data pipelines.

Building data flows for data acquisition, aggregation, and modelling.

Supporting and optimising data tools and associated cloud environments for consumption by downstream systems, data analysts and data scientists.

Empowering data scientists and data analysts to be as self-sufficient as possible by building core systems and developing reusable library code.

This will be a two-stage interview process, candidates will work hybrid with an expectation to come to the office twice a month in Manchester. Candidates will also require full right to work in the UK, without sponsorship or restrictions.
