What you will do in your working day

At Bumbles Nursery, our aim is to support children in all aspects of learning so that when they leave for the next chapter in their journey of life, they are confident around their peers, able to socialise and therefore adapt comfortably into their next setting.

As a level 3 Apprentice you will be expected to;

  • Plan and carry out child initiated and adult led play activities supporting children’s individual needs and interest
  • Provide play activities which encourage and promote children’s numeracy, literacy and language development
  • Undertake the role of the key person to help children feel safe, secure and valued
  • Carries out observations and use these effectively to understand the changing needs of their individual key children

The training you will be getting

Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. Bumbles Nursery will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day You will be working towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes:

  • Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
  • Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Educator
  • Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid
  • Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)

This will be delivered through Bumbles Nursery’s dedicated training provider, Realise Realise is an established training provider that’s enjoying an exciting period of growth following a management buyout and rebrand in late 2020. We’ve invested heavily in our people and culture, and we want to grow our teams by finding people who share our passion and enthusiasm for creating a better future.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

Our professional, expanding and knowledgeable staff team are

always given the opportunity to further their careers with us. We always

look to promote from within and will guide and support you in your endeavours to further yourself. You could go on to – Level 5, Room Leader, Third in Charge, Deputy Manager, Eco School Leader or even Forest School Leader.
