What you’ll be doing

Our Apprentice Software Developers get stuck in from day one to some of our most important media systems related projects. Working in an agile environment, developing, and supporting some of the highest profile systems, it’s a game changer in how everyone interacts. We need you to help us build software solutions, to keep people connected now and in the future.

You’ll be able to use your skills to simplify and evolve how our customers manage and configure their broadcast solutions. Don’t worry, we’ll teach you what you need to know to get started.

You’ll work with a variety of platforms, including industry leading applications such as Skyline’s Dataminer, Nevion’s iPath and ServiceNow and Remedy, taking advantage of cutting-edge technologies. We’ll teach you best practice tools and techniques, both on bare metal and in the cloud. Advancing automation, AI and DevOps practices across the tribe. You’ll get to work alongside experienced engineers on some projects that are critical to the UK – like the services we provide to the UK’s leading broadcasters.

As an apprentice, you’ll have the chance to be a part of?a tribe building services and helping to define how people receive and manage those services. You’ll be part of a professional software engineering team, planning, building and verifying software that could impact millions of customers.

This role is available in the Networks part of our business.

Entry requirements

Five GCSEs at grades 4-9 (C or above) including English Language & Maths. Equivalent qualifications are also accepted.

Training

As an Apprentice Software Engineer, you’ll study for a Level 4 apprenticeship in Software Development. Your apprenticeship will last for 16 months. You’ll spend a minimum of 20% of your time learning and studying.
