Junior Production Operator – Cold Rolling

Responsibilities:

Operating the rolling mills and related machinery to process aluminium coils according to the production schedules and quality standards required.

Monitoring the production line for any abnormalities or deviations and taking corrective actions to optimise efficiency and product quality.

Conducting routine machine inspections and reporting any issues to ensure optimal performance whilst minimising downtime.

Assisting in the setup and changeover of equipment for different product specifications.

Collaborating with all team members and supervisors to achieve production targets and resolve operational challenges.Requirements:

Prior experience as a production operator in a metal manufacturing or similar industry is preferred.

Familiarity with operating rolling mills, slitters, and other equipment used in the aluminium rolling process is desirable.

Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot operational issues effectively.

Working Hours: 41.25 hours per week Monday to Friday

Working pattern:Rotating shifts of 05:45 – 14:00, 13:45 – 22:00 and 21:45 – 06:00

Salary Range:£27,300 plus shift allowance of £2.826.60

Reporting to:Production Supervisor
