We have a fantastic opportunity available at Bouygues Energies & Services (BYES) for a Commercial Graduate to join our Hinkley Point C (HPC) team. The role would be based from our Bristol office but supporting the Hinkley project.

It’s a very exciting time to be joining Bouygues! We have been delivering a Turn-key EPC contract for the Hinkley Point C new build nuclear power plant Emergency Diesel Generators (EDG).

The successful candidate would have the opportunity to work alongside a group of very dedicated and knowledgeable individuals within our team, and be able to contribute to the work that we are carrying out on this innovative project.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Assisting the Contract Manager in the commercial management of the HPC EDG Design Manufacture Install & Commission Contract and the Sizewell C EDG bid.
  • To prepare contractual correspondence, manage variations, claims with client and sub contractors.
  • Assisting in the preparation of proposals in the context of response to Variation Requests for Proposal (RFP).
  • Educating the project team with regard to contractual awareness.

Graduate programme

You will be enrolled onto our graduate programme which is a two year structured training scheme. The programme is designed to enhance and develop soft skills and technical capability through a blend of classroom-based learning and on the job training.

What you’ll need

  • A 2:1 (or above) in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.
  • Knowledge of commercial management and law.
  • Strong communication skills, organisation, and attention to detail.
  • A genuine desire to work in the nuclear industry!
