BMW Group UK/BMW Financial Services, Farnborough – IT Business Analyst – 4 Year Apprenticeship (August 2024)

Our Summit ONE campus in Farnborough is home to the National Sales Company for the BMW Group in the UK, as well as BMW Group Financial Services which offers retailers, corporate and private customers a range of customised financial services. Alphabet (GB) Ltd. as a leading provider of Business Mobility Services is also located in Farnborough.

We have an opportunity for two IT Business analyst positions in both the Shared and Regional Services team and within the Financial Services application team.

What will you be doing?

As an IT Apprentice at BMW Group UK/BMW Financial Services, you will have the opportunity to contribute to innovation and change across various IT areas providing services to the business including having responsibility for specific research, planning and implementation tasks under the guidance of senior team members.

These activities include for example:

?Supporting with the analysis, development, testing and implementation of IT solutions to satisfy the current and future needs of the business.

?Undertaking support and maintenance activities to business applications

?Getting involved in wider BMW Group IT initiatives driven from headquarters.

You will also get the opportunity to gain experience in teams providing services to the National Sales Company located at Summit One, Farnborough.

You will be expected to participate in team meetings and training sessions to develop new skills and knowledge with the opportunity to engage with the wider apprentice networks and gain exposure to the wider company through exciting initiatives.

You will be expected to attain detailed knowledge on business and IT processes need for the role, primarily focused on the UK and Ireland Financial Services Group in order to successfully add value and complete your assignment.

Alongside working at BMW, you will have a day release studying for university degree. You will be expected to practice appropriate tools, knowledge and techniques learnt through your university course as part of your placement with BMW.

IT Apprentices at BMW Group UK have the potential to make a significant contribution to driving change across different parts of the business. IT Apprentices will learn about emerging technologies and trends in the IT industry at university. They can share insights and knowledge as well as gaining further insights from IT within the BMW Group to identify and contribute to potential areas which will add value to the business.

Communication will be multi-faceted and at all levels within the IT operational and project teams, as well as with business stakeholders. You will learn to develop and maintain a broad business and IT network, including senior managers, DevOps Hubs, DevOps providers and other external organisations.

Following this, successful applicants will be shortlisted and invited to a face-to-face Assessment Centre with BMW Group. Provisionally, the Assessment Centre is due to take place week commencing 8th April 2024.
