Junior Paraplanner

We are recruiting for this highly regarded IFA practice who are looking for a paraplanner to join their team. In this role, you will provide support to Financial Advisers and Paraplanners. You will be responsible for a variety of client administration requirements that enable advisers to maximise their time with clients. These will include attending client meetings, conducting research, preparing client recommendations, liaising with clients, and building strong provider and third-party relationships.

Key responsibilities:

  • Undertake research and analysis to meet client needs and objectives, including cashflow modelling.
  • Support the Financial Advisers in preparing and presenting client financial plans, including completing illustrations and applications for new business.
  • Attend client meetings with Financial Advisers when required.
  • Prepare simple wealth suitability reports on behalf of the Financial Advisers including obtaining illustrations and application paperwork.
  • Manage pre and post ongoing advice -meeting requirements, such as updating client fact finds, fund switches, Bed & ISA, keeping both the advisers and clients updated.
  • Liaise with product providers and other third parties as required.
  • Own and resolve client queries.
  • Prepare and maintain compliant client files.
  • Prepare for on-going advice meetings.
  • Support the Client Services Administrators in their day-to-day activities.
  • Provide regular status updates to clients.
  • Process business and manage through to completion within agreed SLAs.

You must be:

  • Level 4 Diploma qualified.
  • Outgoing and confident team player.
  • Have a strong level of technical and product knowledge and a proven ability to develop collaborative relationships and provide excellent customer service.
  • Have a desire to provide a great service to stakeholders and clients.
  • Possess the ability to build relationships and work as part of a team.
  • Have excellent attention to detail with experience of compliance and risk management.
  • Dedicated to maintaining internal quality standards to ensure right first time.
  • Undertake continuous professional development to meet regulatory requirements and personal development needs.
  • Have the ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently under pressure or to tight deadlines.
