Job Description

This is an amazing role for a digitally minded Junior Graphic Designer. It is a wonderful opportunity to develop your craft in an exciting creative agency specialising in the food & beverage industry. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is passionate about F&B and who actively seeks new experiences in the market. You will have spent around 1 year in a creative agency and have established strong digital skills in animation and motion graphics. This is a permanent role with hybrid working 2 days in the central Birmingham office, salary £25k depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce high-quality, commercially aware design work that aligns with briefs while pushing creative boundaries.
  • Demonstrate a digital-first mindset with proficiency in animation and motion design for social media, web assets, and animated logos.
  • Understand the print process and file preparation requirements.
  • Thoroughly understand client and brand objectives for all projects and tailor work accordingly.
  • Follow a style usually set by a middleweight / senior member of the team and help effectively rollout brand collateral.
  • Collaborate with and learn from senior team members to develop design skills.
  • Think big and demonstrate the ability to develop them into practical solutions.
  • Contribute creatively to team meetings, briefings, and project brainstorms.
  • Effectively manage multiple brands and their respective guidelines.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
  • Support concept work and pitches.
  • Ability to learn time management, how to approach jobs, what to document and turn into a compelling presentation.
  • Craft visually compelling presentations that align with Keane’s established design standards.
  • Articulate design rationale and decision-making to the team.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and support peers.
  • Understand the artwork production process with a consideration for handover to the artwork team.

Software & Hardware Capabilities

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of industry software, primarily InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premier Pro and After Effects.
  • Have a sufficient understanding of secondary software including Word, PowerPoint, Keynote, Adobe XD and Figma.
  • Exceptional Mac skills – a strong understanding of how the hardware works – keep operating systems updated, basic maintenance and file storage etc.

Brand Design Services

  • Brand Development: Originate or refresh brand identities, develop comprehensive guidelines and design toolkits.
  • Campaign Design: Create compelling campaigns that effectively integrate across digital and print platforms (social, web, in-venue posters and correx boards etc).
  • Brand Activation: Strategically activate brands and campaigns both in-venue and online.
  • Creative Presentations: Develop engaging presentations with meaningful rationale.
  • Design Delivery: Menu design, digital design (websites, email, social media assets), video storyboarding, photography planning and production, video editing, content creation.
  • Wayfinding & Interior Graphics: Develop clear and intuitive wayfinding systems to guide visitors through spaces. Graphics or signage that enhances the overall brand experience.
