The Academy provides the opportunity to learn the tools and skill that will help to shape your future within Software Testing. Combining practical, hands-on learning with working on some exciting technical projects.

What is Software Testing I hear you ask?

The main purpose of Software Testing is to test software across a suite of products and applications including our responsive site and our iOS and Android Mobile Apps to ensure quality in the solution before releasing to customers, both internal and external.

The Software Testing Academy is open to everyone. Whether you are a graduate, self-taught or looking to change career the Academy could be the perfect place for you! As long as you have a passion for Technology with an inquisitive, exploratory mind-set and can resonate with our key attributes for a Software Tester below, we want to hear from you.

Main Responsibilities

Reviewing and analysing requirement documents ensuring business and technical requirements are fully understood.

Producing test documentation to the agreed standard, e.g. test plans and test scripts.

Conducting quality testing on projects and issues to agreed processes and timescales.

Identifying and carrying out regression testing where appropriate.

Reporting defects accurately and managing through to successful resolution via Jira.

Interacting and maintaining development backlogs from a range of third party suppliers.

Reporting testing progress to the Software Testing Manager communicating effectively and escalating where appropriate.

Maintaining and creating product knowledge documentation for use within the team.

Assisting with any functional queries that may arise from business users following releases.
