As an apprentice you will be tasked with day to day first line IT Support responsibilities, assessing and assigning priorities of tickets, updating tickets to keep users updated and much more. You will be fully immersed in the world of IT and given all the tools to build a successful career in the industry! You will be closely supported throughout your apprenticeship by the IT Team Lead, not only that you will also have a specialist coach from Baltic Apprenticeships to guide you on your journey and provide you with industry expert knowledge each step of the way.

In this role, youll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job:

  • First line responsibility for the day to day end user IT Support needs of the company
  • Serve as primary point of contact for all IT Support including in person, via phone and via the IT Service Desk ticketing system
  • Assessing and assigning priorities of tickets
  • Working on tickets on a resolve or escalate basis, performing 1st line troubleshooting on all incoming issues
  • Updating tickets to keep users informed
  • 1st line support for maintenance of existing systems.

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.

Salary, Hours&Benefits:

  • 18,000 per annum
  • Monday to Friday either 8am-4:30pm or 8:30pm-5pm
  • 20 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A passion for IT
  • A keen attention to detail
  • Strong organisation skills
  • Grade 5/C in GCSE English and Grade 4/C in GCSE Maths
