Roles and Responsibilities (Will include but not limited to):
Work to service level agreements and business deadlines
Work towards high quality customer service skills
Ability to work as part of a team and unsupervised on occasion
Ability to apply a calm and considered approach to support calls/incidents
Ensure adherence to all ITPS policies including ISO security and quality policies in accordance with the role
Ensure where necessary support calls/incidents are escalated to the 2nd line helpdesk analysts and or helpdesk team leader
Escalate hardware calls/incidents and on-site engineer visit requests to the Helpdesk coordinator
Ensure 1st time fixes where necessary See full document attached to account
Answer telephone calls/emails professionally and promptly
Full training to be provided by Baltic Apprenticeships and ITPS.
Desired qualities, skills and knowledge:
- Excellent Customer Service Skills
- Interest in and some knowledge/exposure to IT such as building/owning PC or assisting
- family members or friends with their IT needs
- Willingness to follow instructions and carry out all duties required of the role
- High level of verbal and written communication skills
- Driving licence to drive to Fire Stations around the County Durham and Darlington region
- Minimum grading of C/4 or above in Math’s and 5 in English
Salary Hours and Benefits:
- 18,000 per annum
- Monday to Friday 8:30am till 5:00pm
- 27 days annual leave
- Annual pay review

- A clearly defined training and progression plan
There are career progression opportunities available upon completion of the program. You, along with your employer, may decide to progress into a full-time position with the business or progress onto a Level 4 Apprenticeship.
