Calling all aspiring IT Support technicians! Baltic Apprenticeships are thrilled to be partnering with successful secondary school in the heart of London! They have a wealth of experience kick-starting apprentice’ careers’ and are now on the hunt to hire their next IT Support Apprentice!

You will offer IT support to students and staff, aligning with their six values which underpin all that they stand for as a school. These are Endeavour, Reflection, Professionalism, Responsibility, Respect, and Cooperation.

As an IT Apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience in supporting the school’s IT infrastructure. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop practical skills and knowledge in a real-world setting while working towards an accredited IT qualification. You will work closely with the IT support team and other staff members to ensure the smooth operation of all IT systems within the school… what are you waiting for? In this role, youll work towards your Level 3 Microsoft IT Support Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job:

  • Provide first-line technical support to staff and students, resolving IT issues promptly and efficiently
  • Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software systems
  • Help maintain the schools network infrastructure, including servers, routers, and switches
  • Support the setup and maintenance of classroom technology, such as interactive whiteboards and projectors
  • Support the use of AV and Media
  • Participate in regular IT audits and inventory management
  • Assist in ensuring the security and integrity of the schools data and IT systems
  • Contribute to IT-related projects and initiatives

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.

Salary, Hours&Benefits:

  • Salary – 15,000 – 18,000
  • Monday – Friday 8 AM – 4 PM or 9 AM to 5 PM
  • 30 Days Annual Leave

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:

  • A genuine interest in IT and technology
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware and software
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills
  • Grade 5/C in English GCSE & Grade 4/C in Math’s GCSE
