Trainee Materials Operative

Reporting to the Materials Management Team Lead, the purpose of this role is to demonstrate the energy, commitment and motivation to train to support and assist in the safe and efficient delivery of the receipts and dispatch, yard operations, materials storage, stock auditing, kitting and staging, returns and repairs, preservation functions in line with agreed service level agreements and procedures. Duties include:

  • To promote and support the safe delivery of the AOB operation by promoting and following the lifesaving rules.
  • Learn and assist to support the delivery of the overall Shell AOB operation with the ultimate goal of zero incidents and zero NCR’s.
  • Learn and assist to support the safe and efficient delivery operation in line with the client SLA’s, procedures, KPI’s, timelines and schedules.
  • Responding quickly and accurately to issues/queries raised by the client on or offshore
  • Ensure positive communication between internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintaining an accurate, auditable record of activities
  • Build a comprehensive understanding of the clients SAP system and the steps required.
  • Ensure positive relations between operational locations.
  • Assist in the management of costs (e.g. consumables, equipment)
  • Ad-hoc duties as required in line with applicable training/competency assessments undertaken.

    A current Immigration Status Document containing a photograph issued by the Home Office to the holder with a valid endorsement indicating that the named person may stay in the UK, and is allowed to do the type of work in question, together with an official document giving the person’s permanent National Insurance number and their name issued by a Government agency or a previous employer
