Graduate Business Development Executive

Our client is looking for graduates for several Business Development Executive roles with starting date in August.

Description:

Business Development Executives are the entry-level sales role. Having learned Company sales processes and through practising their developing sales craft skills, they progress and close smaller sales deals in their assigned sector or region.

Key deliverables:

Sales wins:

the role exists to secure new customers and business to a set annual target. The jobholder’s principle aim is to close sales deals after appropriate approvals and following internal processes.

Developing skills:

it is critical that the jobholder focuses on continually improving their sales skills and abilities, allowing them to become more and more effective in their role.

Effective communication:

as an entry-level role, the jobholder is likely to need guidance and coaching throughout their first period in the role. It is essential that the jobholder is highly communicative with colleagues, their immediate manager and sales management in general to ensure they have an effective and well supported approach to their sales activities.

Key responsibilities:

Product and sales knowledge

Continuously develop understanding of key products and technology relevant to our services.

Remain aware of industry developments.

Illustrate business advantage of our products and services to customers and other sales colleagues.

Contribute thought and expertise to brand/marketing activities as required.

Mentor and advise other sales colleagues in order to assist their

development/closing

of opportunities.

Account planning

Achieve revenue & margin targets from new customers on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.

Create and maintain documented account development plans.

Work with marketing or other internal departments to proactively identify and target customers.

Build sales approaches for specific customer accounts.

Develop and maintain an adequate pipeline of opportunities.

Provide accurate forecasting of opportunities by effectively progressing sales opportunities.

Keep internal systems and contacts up to date with progress.

Customer relationships & satisfaction

Regularly contact and build effective relationships with existing and potential customers.

Drive the promotion and sale of additional services to or through the customer.

Maintain knowledge of customer objectives and key personnel.

Set customer expectations during sales, delivery and throughout the contract.

Coordinate internal teams to deliver to customer expectations.

Escalate on behalf of the customer as required.

Bid/tender management

Work closely with presales, delivery, support and any bid-related teams to effectively create, sell and deliver new business wins for appropriately sized bids to the role level.

Coordinate any virtual bid team to deliver a quality bid/tender ahead of deadlines, escalating as required to sales management.

Qualify prospective customer accounts fully in order to ensure all likely customer

questions/interests

are addressed constructively during the sales process.

Profile:

Education & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree/equivalent or significant equivalent work experience

Experience:

Retail or other customer-facing experience (expected)

Experience of working in a team to deliver a project or task (expected)

Demonstrable interest and experience in selling a product or concept (expected)

Experience of using a CRM or similar tool (desired)

IT/telecoms experience (desired)

Expected Skills:

Interpersonal skills, including effective influencing and negotiating

Well presented and able to speak/communicate confidently with customers

Numerate

Attention to detail, able to spot inaccuracies or inconsistencies in materials

Tenacious attitude, willing to put required effort in to achieve their targets
