If successful you will join us on our first rotational trainee programme working across Prime Services/HNW, Olivetree Cash Equities and Olivetree Event Driven with full training provided and with an opportunity after your first month of joining to study for the CISI Introduction to Investment – Foundation Qualification.

Here is an insight into the 3 rotations

Alvar Prime Services / CFD desk

During your time shadowing the Prime Services and CFD desk, you will learn about Prime Brokerage, Contracts for Difference and other types of derivatives. You will gain an understanding not only to the trading side but also of the vital operational and risk management aspects of these products. You will be supporting the team in their daily position management tasks and support content creation.

Olivetree Cash Equities

Working in the cash equities trading team, you will be experimenting with ChatGPT to gauge how useful it can be towards financial modelling, helping with the search for new data providers, gathering client intelligence and doing regular stock pitches to the floor.

Olivetree Event Driven

Whilst shadowing the event driven team, you will be learning about mergers, takeovers, and how restructuring works. Additionally, you will be supporting the team by providing market analysis and research into new, current and speculative deals whilst supporting internal and external content distribution.

This is what you need

We’re looking for students who are finishing their degree or GCSE/A levels this year, the subjects are not important.
