Job summary

Altus Group are hiring 2 Graduate Surveyors across Manchester and London offices.  Joining the National Transactions Team, the successful candidate will have opportunity to work within Agency, Lease Consultancy and Valuation service lines. There will also be an opportunity for the successful candidate to work towards their MRICS qualification via the APC.

The Graduate Surveyor will not be sat on the sidelines!  Responsibilities will include property inspections, property research and providing support to senior surveyors.  As a graduate level role, no commercial/valuations experience is necessary – just a passion for commercial real estate.  You will have a mentor and full job training – we will teach you the rest! 

Key responsibilities

  • Inspection and measuring client properties
  • Drafting floor plans
  • Managing client cases
  • Assisting surveyors in collation of evidence
  • Prepare the assessment report; report, analyze, investigate and gather evidence for business rates assessment appeals
  • Formulating appeals
  • Keeping company records and databases updated
  • Communicate with clients, both written and verbally
  • Deliver excellent service to clients ensuring a strong and positive working relationship, effectively dealing with any issues or queries
  • Achieve your team KPIs, whilst contributing to the overall success of the wider team and Altus

Key qualifications

  • University degree – cognate Real Estate or property related degree.
  • Full driving license, with access to own car
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be a team player
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • The ability to develop and maintain professional relationships
  • A strong commercial awareness
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent time management
