We are looking for a Junior R&D Contract Manager to support the R&D Contract Manager in the delivery of robust contracts in support of the R&D pipeline.
About you
You will have a legal qualification and/or background as well as contract negotiation experience in a CRO and/or Pharmaceutical Industry with transferrable skills in Clinical Trial contractual requirements.
We would also like someone who has experience working with global teams or can demonstrate transferrable skills into this environment.
It is important that you are a strong communicator and able to speak to people at all levels, working with both internal and external stakeholders. We are also looking for someone who is comfortable working autonomously and be a real self-starter.
The role
You will be involved in the following:
- Liaising with stakeholders in the development, negotiation and execution of highly complex contracts
- Monitoring the scope of work, timelines, conditions and budgets covered by the contracts and to propose amendments when required
- Identifying contractual requirements for R&D tasks
- Support the R&D Contract Manager in the development of a contract strategy for the R&D programme, consistent with the principles in place for commercial supply
- Support the R&D Contract Manager to develop and manage the contracting processes with consistent templates, facilitating efficient internal and external review and approvals
- Monitor the scope of work, timelines, conditions and budgets covered by the contracts and to propose amendments when required
- Identify and manage breaches of contract with stakeholders, escalating to R&D Contract Manager and/or legal counsel as needed.
- Prepare, lead and manage any internal or external contract review processes, including legal reviews, providing supportive or comparative information if appropriate
- Support the writing of policies and SOPs related to contract R&D management
- Support the R&D Contract Manager to develop systems to enable and manage the fully executed (FE) contracts, ensuring required distribution, tracking, filing/archiving and updating.
This is a remote role with a requirement to attend meetings on-site in Worthing as required.
