Junior Document Controller

A rare opening for a Junior Document Controller to join an established regional contractor in Hertfordshire who operate in the Education, Healthcare, Commercial, and Mixed-Use sectors.

Experience in document control in the construction industry is ideal, but if you’re bright and eager to transition into this role, we welcome candidates aiming to shift careers within construction or those seeking their first role in the industry.

They work on general contracting schemes up to around £20m

Benefits:

Salary £22-30,000 plus the below benefits

Annual holiday allowance of 25 days (5 of these are pre-reserved for Christmas shut down). An additional days holiday is awarded after 5, 7 & 10 years service up to a maximum of 28 days.

The role: Junior Document Controller

You will be trained by a Senior Document Controller who has been with the company for a number of years, and will assist with:

Managing all aspects of document control; developing and implementing strategies;

Undertake regular site drawings audits followed up by formal report detailing score, findings and corrective actions.

Processes and procedures to manage documents effectively in line with business requirements.

Receive, process, control and coordinate documentation in line with processes and procedures.

Manage and maintain tender information on document management systems.

Collate & circulate weekly reports detailing outstanding approval processes and status C (rejected) information.

Overhead management for document management systems and printing consumables

Working hours 8.30 – 5 with 1 hour for lunch

You will ideally have 6 months plus experience working as a Document Controller for a construction company.
