We are looking for an Aspiring Special Needs Teacher to support children with special educational needs and associated challenging behaviours. This is an entry level role, no experience required, ideal for a Psychology Graduate!

This specialist school based near Guildford are looking for an Aspiring Special Needs Teacher to support children aged 4-17 with mild to moderate learning difficulties. This is an excellent opportunity to get your foot in the door and gain relevant experience through working closely with vulnerable children and specialist therapy teams to expand your knowledge and skillset before embarking on a teaching career.

Career progression routes include Special Needs Teacher, Speech and Language Therapist, Occupational Therapist and various Child Psychology and Educational Psychology routes.

The Aspiring Special Needs Teacher role will give you essential experience within a challenging yet rewarding setting.

  • Able to develop knowledge and experience to deliver appropriate support
  • Able to encourage the development of social skills and support students’ individual needs
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to provide behaviour and pastoral support
  • Attend staff meetings and complete appropriate CPD
  • Ensure safeguarding of students
